Building awareness on issues like the use of public transport, lack of physical Infrastructure, transportation and how companies can contribute towards a sustainable transport system.
NASSCOM is headquartered in the NCR Region and also has a separate Regional Team that leads the membership and state government connect for the region. The Regional Councils of Noida and Gurgaon have played a key role in working across policy makers for the infrastructure issues in these cities, engage members in specific groups related to technology, business functions and facility management. The region is the hub for diverse companies across IT Services, BPM, GICs, Ecommerce and Startups.
Today, there are close to 450 members spread across Northern region. Gurgaon & Noida are the two biggest IT clusters in northern region, while emerging locations include Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow are fast emerging as alternate centers. NASSCOM also runs a Startup Warehouse at Noida and another one is coming up at Gurgaon. The activities for the Northern Region are driven through separate councils for Noida and Haryana and focused chapters in the emerging cities of Chandigarh and Jaipur.
The Regional Council – Haryana is a representative body of the IT-BPM (companies in the state with an aim to “Develop Gurgaon as the most preferred destination for the IT/BPM industry”.
This vision has three components to it – (i) Gurgaon as a great city to live and work in, (ii) Gurgaon as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship and (iii) Gurgaon ecosystem as a nursery for world-class talent.

Through our local chapters in emerging locations we try to provide subject matter expertise, linkages, establish collaborations with local stakeholders & likeminded bodies, and mobilise outward delegations. These locations are fast emerging as favourable destinations for Startups, MNCs looking to expand and Product Engineering R&D kind of work. While these are non-metro locations, they enjoy unmatched advantage of cost competiveness, controlled attrition, quality of life and overall a stable business environment.
